Allstar is a later VOIP system. A system of linking radio stations and repeater stations anywhere in the world via the internet, using VOIP technology. Like IRLP you can use the system of your local FM gateway or repeater by using DTMF codes. You can also join the network using one of the various hotspot devices available from amateur radio stores, ebay, etc. You can also download an image onto suitable media and make it bootable to construct your own gateway device using a PC or Raspberry Pi, by following the instructions on the links below. Then connect a radio and internet connection and you can apply to join the network.
Many node owners (members of the network) provide 'bridging' to other networks, such as Echolink, DMR, Dstar or Fusion.
There are popular 'hubs' where you can connect and find many other nodes connected.

To use a node enter *3 ##### where ##### is the AllStar node number you wish to connect to. To disconnect *10 disconnects from the last known node or *76 to disconnect from all linked AllStar nodes
To disconnect from a single AllStar node Enter *1 ##### where ##### is the AllStar node number you wish to disconnect.
